Our data centers where Neborhood is hosted is secure with firewalls in place to prevent unauthorized and malafide access to the servers. The data centers are protected 24/7 by security services. Video surveillance of the physical facilities ensures that no unauthorized persons can enter the technical service area. Photo ID systems, biometric palm scanners, and card systems allow only authorized persons to enter the data centers.

Neborhood is also 256-bit SSL encryption enabled. This ensures that data traveling between user’s computer and the main server is encrypted. This is the same technology as used in highly secure online financial/e-commerce transactions.

At the application level, each user is provided a unique user name and password for access. This password is stored in encrypted form in the application, so that no one else apart from the user, (Not even application administrator) gets access to the user’s account. Also, your users get role based access which works in conjunction with the object based access. What this means is Person A only gets to perform those actions which his/her role entitles. Additionally, those actions can be performed only on those objects over which he/she has rights. For example, Person A cannot view data of a private community in Neborhood of which he is not a member.
